On 13th May 2026, Legend of Toys announced the close of its ₹21 crore Pre-Series A funding round backed by Singularity Early Opportunities Fund, Veltis Capital, Enzia Ventures, DeVC, Atrium Angels and Stride. For us, this is more than capital - it is validation that building a toy brand India is genuinely proud of was never a silly idea.
Over the last 18 months, with 20+ products launched, we have been doing the work quietly and deliberately. Every RC toy in our lineup is designed to build a character that is part of a bigger L.O.T universe, not just a product you buy once, but one you race, collect and keep coming back to. The kind of thing that earns a permanent spot on the shelf.
Why We Started Legend of Toys
When we entered the category, the gap was hard to miss. Most products were built for low-cost mass retail and stopped there - no real performance, no design character, no reason to stay loyal to a brand beyond the first purchase. The hobby and collector market existed. It was just expensive and had nowhere interesting to go.
That is the space Legend of Toys was built to own.
"For us, a toy is never just a product. It is a character, a story, an experience. We are building Legend of Toys as a world built on adventure, thrill and excitement - one that kids, enthusiasts and collectors keep coming back to."
~ Co-Founder and Head of Product & Brand, Afshaan Siddiqui
Today our lineup includes RC Drift Cars, Off-Road RC Cars, 1:64 tabletop RC Drift Cars and High-Speed Hobby Grade RC Cars. Each one designed with a personality and a place inside a world that is still being built - and getting more interesting with every product we add.
India is also exactly the right place to be doing this. Quality-conscious consumers, a fast-growing "Kidult" audience of collectors and enthusiasts, and a hobby market that remains wide open. The timing has always felt right. Now we have the fuel to match.
What This Funding Helps Us Build
This funding allows us to invest deeper into the areas that matter most for the long-term future of the brand.
Expanding Into New Categories:
RC toys are where we started, not where we stop. Expanding into new play formats is our biggest near-term priority - products that feel native to the Legend of Toys universe, built for collectors and enthusiasts who are already looking for something worth their attention.
Strengthening Manufacturing and Supply Chain:
A car that looks great but breaks on the third lap is not a Legend of Toys product. Investing in manufacturing and supply chain is how we make sure every product that ships is one we are genuinely proud to put our name on - consistently, at scale.
Investing in Brand and Community:
We show up after the sale, not just before it. Our commitment to customer support before, during and after purchase is something we are doubling down on. Over the coming months, expect deeper investment in community, content and the experiences that keep people coming back.
What's Next for Legend of Toys?
This funding round is a milestone - but the journey is still very early, and that is the exciting part.
We started Legend of Toys with a simple but stubborn belief - that India can build a toy brand the world actually wants to play with. The early response from consumers has been genuinely encouraging, and it tells us the category was ready for something new. Now we get to do the fun part: new categories, stronger manufacturing, and building the kind of company that can actually go the distance.
"We are incredibly excited about what lies ahead and believe Legend of Toys has the potential to become a large global toy brand built from India."
~Gokul Gopal, Managing Partner at Veltis Capital
What started as a belief that Indian consumers deserved better toys has grown into a brand built on performance, storytelling, community and long-term trust. The products are getting better. The world is getting bigger. And the road ahead - faster and more ambitious than ever before.
