No. Every L.O.T Build kit is laser-cut to slot together by hand. No glue, no tools, nothing to buy — open the box and start.
Kits in this range run from about 30 minutes to around three hours depending on the piece count, and the difficulty is patience rather than skill — the pieces only fit where they are meant to. This product page lists its own piece count and build time. If it is a gift and you are unsure, the smaller kits are a comfortable evening; the largest are a proper weekend project.
Yes — that is the point. These are display pieces you assemble yourself, finished in laser-cut wood rather than printed card or plastic. The Hogwarts house crests include a wooden display stand with a numbered plate.
6+ for the general kits and 14+ for the collector pieces. The limit is complexity, not safety — a younger child who enjoys making will manage with a hand. The Hogwarts house crests and the Colosseum are 14+, and the Garage is 14+ too because it is built to display 1:64 cars, which is a teen and adult audience.
It is our biggest kit and it is rated 14+, but the difficulty is time rather than skill. It comes apart into four stages — foundation, arena, tiers and outer arcade — so it is four manageable sittings rather than one long one, and around three hours in total. Nothing is glued, so a piece in the wrong place comes back out.
We offer something better suited to a hobby product: lifetime support. If a part wears out or breaks, tell them what you need and they will arrange a replacement for the life of the product. If something arrives damaged or a part is missing from the box, record a clear video while opening the package and send it across — that helps us verify and get the replacement out to you, without a return.
